Suzanne Newman, Musical Director

 

 Suzanne studied for a BA in Creative Arts at Bretton Hall College, West Yorkshire and returned there a year later to study for a PGCE in Music/Children with Special Educational Needs. After teaching in schools for four years, Suzanne became a self-employed teacher of piano and singing. She enjoys teaching all sorts of music to pupils of all ages and abilities.

 

She also enjoys going into local schools to judge their inter-house music competitions. In her spare time, Suzanne loves reading, doing puzzles and playing  the flute, guitar and penny whistle.

Mary Daniels, Pianist

Mary Daniels studied music at East Anglia University and then spent many years working at the BBC as a research cataloguer, specialising in early music. After the birth of her daughter, she started work as a piano teacher and resumed piano lessons, achieving DipABRM diplomas in teaching and performing and LRSM in performing.

She gives regular recitals and is in wide demand as an accompanist. As well as playing for The Project Singers she is the accompanist for Reading Phoenix Choir, with whom she also sings. Currently she is working towards a Fellowship diploma in performing.

Kristen Biles - Pianist

Kristen achieved a first in her music degree at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford where she also gained an MSt in Music (Musicology). After graduating she pursued a varied editorial career in music publishing working in turn in the magazine, book and sheet music sectors, She returned to the piano while bringing up her young family passing both DipABRSM Performance and DipABRSM diplomas with distinction and now happily combined freelance editing for ABRSM with running a private teaching practice and teaching piano at Crosfields School. Krisetn loves accompanying singers and instrumentalists and considers it a privilege to be working with The Project Singers.

Louisa Briguglio, Pianist

Louisa  is a flautist and accompanist originally from St Albans. She studied at the Royal College of Music. Louisa has performed and recorded at various London venues including the Royal Albert Hall, Abbey Road Studios and for members of the royal family. Louisa performs in and around London as part of Salina Duo, a duo of flute and harp and regularly partakes in schemes which bring music to hospitals, schools and the local community.
